General Sea Fishing Trips

Due to the close proximity to the A55 expressway, Beaumaris is the ideal venue for a General days Charter fishing, being only 1.5 hrs drive away from large cities such as Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham.

The general fishing around the coast of Anglesey can produce a vast variety of species of fish, Mackeral, Whiting, Dabs, Dogfish, Gurnards, Thornback Rays, Tope, Pollack, Codling, Spurdog, Herring, Bass, and Bullhuss to name but a few, and all within 1 hrs steaming from Beaumaris pier.

Anglesey being an Island, depending upon which way the wind is blowing, the Starida boats can fish either side of Anglesey, fishing in relatively sheltered waters for the duration of the trip. The size of the tide is no real problem as the bays close inshore can provide good fishing and a steady flow whilst the tide is running at its hardest.

Beaumaris is a very popular venue for Angling competitions due to the fact that regardless of wind direction and states of tide, a competition can always be fished.
 

Indeed, Starida are proud to either host or take part in many major and important sea angling competitions on a regular basis in events such as The Civil Service S.A.C UK Grand finals, The Isle of Anglesey Boat Angling Festival, Northumbrian Police; incidentally, our main Skipper Jason is usually Lead Skipper for all of these events.

As in all of our trips, individuals are always welcome and catered for. Rod hire is readily available as well as refreshments. There are toilets & 240V facilities on all angling boats.

SKIPPERS NOTE:

The usual tackle is Feathers, paternosters shrimp rigs, hokkai`s, wire traces, flowing traces, with lead weights up to 1lb

BAIT: Frozen mackeral is always supplied free of charge, but other bait such as live sandeel and worm can be supplied at cost with prior notice.
